Oberto Sausage Company hydroplane model, 1975
The Oberto Sausage Company was founded in Seattle by Constantino Oberto in 1918. He began by making and selling various types of hand-made Italian sausages, and his business grew into a nationally-recognized company, most known for their beef jerky. Oberto was a longtime supporter of hydroplane racing, sponsoring several different racers through the years.

Since 1950, the Seattle Seafair festival has recognized notable local individuals as Seafair Royalty, including King Neptune, Prime Minister, and Seafair Queen (Miss Seafair).
