D.E. Dugdale owned the Seattle Giants from 1889 to 1920 and organized the Northwest League. His baseball field, Dugdale Park, was located at Rainier and McClellan. At first, cars were a luxury that only the rich could afford. After 1908, with the introduction of the Model T, cars were mass-produced and much less expensive.
