This lunch menu features cold dishes for hot days, June 15 to September 15. The front cover says "Just a Bite for Lunch" and shows an apple with a bite taken out of it. Apples were frequently used on advertisements for the railroad going to Washington State.

Northern Pacific Steamship Company S.S. Victoria Christmas menu, 1902

The transatlantic ocean liner S.S. Victoria was built in Scotland in 1870 and was originally known as the S.S. Parthia. It was sold to Tacoma-based Northern Pacific Steamship Company in the early 1900s, and then ended up with the Alaska Steamship Company in 1908. This menu is for a special Christmas dinner aboard the Victoria.
