Seafair Queen dress and coat ensemble, 1968
The first Seattle Seafair Queen was crowned in 1950. The title was changed to Miss Seafair in 1972 as the role evolved to put more emphasis on academics and personal achievements. Karen Brown, crowned Seafair Queen in 1968, wore this dress for the ceremony. The jacket was sold by Nordstrom Best.

These shoe clips belonged to donor's grandmother, Mrs. William Nelson, who came to the Seattle area from Minnesota in the early 1900s. They were possibly purchased at Frederick & Nelson and worn for a Pythian Sisters event.
