This playful character, created by Walt Disney in 1948, represents Seattle's television station KING 5 TV. Channel 5 first broadcast as KRSC-TV on November 25, 1948, with a live remote of a Thanksgiving Day high school football game. Eight months later KRSC was purchased by King Broadcasting Company and changed its callsign to KING-TV.
