Set of two Boeing commercial airplane models: A720 and A707 Intercontinental N714PA, ca. 1960
Now one of the world's largest aircraft manufacturers, Boeing was incorporated in Seattle in 1916 by William Boeing. These models are examples of Boeing's early jet airliners. The 707 was launched in 1957 and the 720 was launched in 1959.

A Kinner K Sportster monoplane with registered number NC 13751 crashed in the Snohomish River on October 10, 1934. The wreck was raised by the sternwheeler W.T. Preston which served as a snagboat on rivers in the Puget Sound.

This Metro transit operator jacket was made in Seattle by local company Sportcaster. Sportcaster specialized in making skiwear and uniforms. The donor, Anthony Longo, drove Metro buses from 1966 until 1976. He then shifted to a route facilities position where he worked on planning and implementing passenger shelters and improving access for people with disabilities.

Prolific Oregon muralist Larry Kangas (1949-2014) was a navigator for 21 years in the US Air Force, and painted more than 1,000 montage-style murals during his lifetime. This particular piece is a color montage of Boeing planes in flight, engineers, and scenes of Boeing workers and flight-related activities.

Boeing ID badge for employee K.E. Denby, 1971
This is an official Boeing ID badge decorated with a special "FirSST" pin. Boeing’s supersonic transport, the SST, was funded, then defunded. Concerns about noise and air pollution killed it in Congress. K.E. Denby left the company after the program was scrapped.

Tribal Canoe Journey copper ring necklace, 2011
Philip Red Eagle (Dakota and Puget Sound Salish) made this copper ring necklace for MOHAI in 2011. He makes one of these necklaces for each paddler who completes the Full Circle Canoe Journey. A 21st century symbol of renewed cultural traditions, the copper ring stands for tribal unity, and each bead represents a story about that year’s journey.
