Non-QWERTY typewriter made by the Chicago Writing Machine Company, ca. 1900-1912
This typewriter, called "The Chicago," was a rare, compact machine manufactured between 1898 to 1912, and a further development of the "Munson" typewriter, introduced in 1890. The Chicago has an unusual, non-QWERTY three bank keyboard with black ink on white plastic keys.
