Refuse fast fashion and reclaim your clothes!

Join our region’s top clothing saviors, including experts from Eileen Fisher Renew and UNIONBAY, as they demonstrate how to mend and restore cherished articles from your wardrobe.

Watch the repair process up close (including both hand and machine sewing), find out how to re-use denim, and contribute to an interactive art piece.

Drop-in to a mending demonstration during the fair, or purchase tickets to a hands-on repair workshop led by Erin Eggenburg and Shan Sparling.

Erin Eggenburg

Erin Eggenburg

Erin Eggenburg has been the owner of her custom embroidery business, Wrenbirdarts, since 2011. She is a regular instructor of visible mending workshops in the Seattle area, and 90% of the materials used in her workshops are upcycled or secondhand. When she isn’t stitching, she enjoys reading, crafting, and playing pinball.

Shan Sparling

Shan Sparling has spent the last four years as Program Manager at Ragfinery, a Bellingham nonprofit focused on environmental education, textile recycling, and creative reuse. Shan has a passion for creating awareness about the massive issue of textile waste and what consumers and textile artists can do to effect positive change.
