As early as 1903, women students at the University of Washington were rowing in the “same boats” and “under the same conditions” as men, despite facing opposition to the idea of women competing in the strenuous sport. Join Olympian Anna Cummins and UW rower Melanie Barstow for a discussion on the history and tradition of the Women’s Rowing program at the University of Washington.
