Liberty Bell in Seattle, July 14, 1915

In 1915, the Liberty Bell made the long railroad journey to the Panama Pacific Exposition in San Francisco, stopping in many cities along the way. It arrived at Seattle's King Street Station on the morning of July 14th, 1915 and was moved to a viewing area where large crowds waited. State and local dignitaries welcomed the bell with speeches, and the air was filled with patriotic music and exploding firecrackers.
