The Jefferson Street garage, at 14th and Jefferson in the Seattle's Central District, was built in 1910 as a streetcar barn. The station was converted to a garage for trolley buses in 1940. Following service reductions in 1963 and 1970, Jefferson garage was closed in July 1970, except for use by overhead line maintenance crews and for vehicle storage. Jefferson Base was decommissioned in 1982, and was eventually razed to make way for athletic fields for nearby Seattle University.
