Founded in 1892 as the Bureau of Associated Charities, the Social Welfare League of Seattle (now Wellspring Family Services) is a private, non-profit organization helping individuals and families experiencing crisis.

The Social Welfare League brochure seen here recounts the true story of a family tragedy that was resolved with the help of the Social Welfare League. The brochure also serves to inform the community about the difference between traditional charity and modern, systematic social service.
