The Bachelors' Club invitation, circa 1885
Order an ImageThe Bachelors' Club of Seattle, likely a social club for unmarried men, held its second “Social Party” at the city’s Arlington Hotel on February 16th; the day of the week would place it in either 1882 or 1888 as Washington Territory became Washington State in 1889. The evening featured dancing, card games, and a late meal for $2.50. The members of the party committee are listed as Adolph Naher, T. G. Wilson, T. R. Pumphrey, and F. B. McDougall.
