Malmo & Company Landscaping truck, Seattle, circa 1925
Order an ImageCharles Malmo emigrated from Norway in 1878, arrived in Seattle in 1891, and established Malmo Seed and Nursery Company in 1893. He opened his first garden store at 916 Second Avenue in what would become downtown Seattle. Over the years, the Malmo company expanded to several locations and became known for its fine plants, trees, and landscaping services.
