Order an Image
This drawing shows the specifications for a protective face shield designed in March 2020 by GM Nameplate in Seattle, in response to the shortage of PPE (personal protective equipment) for front-line responders at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The face shield features a polyester sheet to protect the face, a foam support across the forehead, and elastic bands. Early prototypes were tested by health care providers over a few days in March at Swedish Medical Center, leading to the final design shown here.
