The Seattle band Jangletown (or Jangle Town) was formed in 1989 by brothers Rick and Chris Friel, with Russ Reidner and Geoff Cooper. This poster advertises a concert headlined by Jangletown at the 99 Club, with appearances by bands Bathtub Gin, Topcat Dancer, and Bam Bam.
Bam Bam was formed in 1983, and fronted by Tina Bell (1957-2021), a Black woman. Bell formed Bam Bam with her husband, Tommy Martin, and friend Scott Ledgerwood. Matt Cameron joined the band on drums, later replaced by Tom Hendrickson. The band is considered one of the founders of what would become the "grunge" music scene, and Bell the "Godmother of grunge."
