The short-lived Seattle start-up FizzyLab was founded in July 1999 by Scott Hudson and Ken Willner. Marketed to companies with large content archives, FizzyLab’s “Relevator” tool helped Internet users find articles matching their interests more easily. Many of the customers for FizzyLab’s subscriber-based services were newspapers and magazines, including the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. The product allowed content providers to pull up relevant content that could be monetized with e-commerce placement and advertising. By 2001, a tight venture capital market forced FizzyLab to look for a buyer, and the company closed around February 2001.

This FizzyLab mailer advertises the “Relevator” as a “one click related content service” for websites with “substantial content assets.” It includes an endorsement from the General Manager of the Seattle PI.
