Olympic Riding Academy Spring Horse Show poster, Seattle, 1944
Order an ImageSeattle's Olympic Riding Academy held its Spring Horse Show in late May 1944. It featured both English and Western style riders in various jumping and harness racing events. The show was held at the Olympic Riding and Driving Club, founded in 1935 across the street from the Jackson Park Municipal Golf Course, which had opened in 1930.
This poster from the Spring Horse Show includes photos of some of the riders and their horses. It identifies the following riders: top: Gita Bouer, Shirley Young; middle: Anne Scott, Barbara Jacobson, Don Dawson.
