Musician Rob Morgan founded his "bubblegum punk" group The Squirrels in 1984 and quickly became part of the Seattle alternative rock and arts scene. For several years Mr. Morgan also published a popular zine, "Pop Lust," which was completely hand-lettered and hand-drawn. The quarterly publication offered comics, reviews, and articles on pop culture by a variety of local writers, artists, and cartoonists.
This issue of "Pop Lust," published in Spring 1983, is the "Big Drummer Issue," with articles on Mike Dumas, Dave Drewry, Peter Barnes, and Charlie Ryan, as well as comic strips and other articles.
