The guide features helpful information about Seattle, such as the locations of the 28 fire alarm boxes and 23 police patrol boxes; time tables for the railroads, steamboats, ferries, and street car lines; lists of all elected officials in Washington, King County, and Seattle; the rates for travel by hired carriages within the city ($1.50 for two people traveling 1 mile); directories of the churches, schools (9,014 students were enrolled in 1899), social clubs, hospitals, and libraries; and a business guide for the city.
