The Hotel Benjamin Franklin was Seattle's second largest hotel when it opened on February 27, 1929, at 5th Avenue and Virginia Street. The building was 14 stories tall and contained 359 rooms built with diverse floor plans and sizes to attract tourists and long-term residents, including two floors reserved entirely for a new kind of guest, single women. The hotel was torn down in July 1980 to make way for the cylindrical north tower of the Westin Hotel.

The brochure pictured here was printed with a map of Washington to show the locations of the other Western Hotels, Inc., properties within driving range of Seattle.
