Order an Image
Vernon C. Gorst, who previously had founded Pacific Air Transport in 1926, (which provided the first airmail service between Los Angeles and Seattle), established Gorst Air Transport, Inc., sometime in the late 1920s. In addition to providing hourly commuter flights for passengers, the air service carried parcels, letters and small packages.

This leaflet advertises Gorst's "Air Ferry" service, a 12-minute flight between Seattle's Pier 3 and Bremerton's Pier 2 that cost $2. The flight from Seattle to Bremerton took 12 minutes. The cabins could accommodate eight passengers comfortably.
