Contact MOHAI to OrderInterview with Delores Davis was conducted by Howard Giske and Chris Jones for the Al Smith: Seattle on the Spot Oral History Project on February 13, 2017. Davis graduated from Seattle University in 1951 and worked as a social worker at Catholic Children Services and University Hospital, and later as an author. She received the 2020 Community Service Award, an alumni award at Seattle University.
In this interview, Davis talks about life in Seattle's African American community in the Central Area in the mid twentieth century.
