Order an ImageBy 1910, nearly 150,000 Scandinavians had immigrated to the Pacific Northwest. Those coming from Sweden settled in cities like Seattle, as well as smaller towns throughout Washington state. This photo shows a group of Swedish-Americans, probably an extended family, having a picnic on a warm spring day. It is part of an album titled "The Swedes' Life and Work in the State of Washington" which was acquired by the Swedish Club of Seattle.
