Sponsored by the Seattle Chapter of the Tacky Tourist Clubs of America, "Things That go Bump in the Night" was a dance party and costume contest held at the Seattle Aquarium on October 29, 1988. The event benefited Seattle Men's Chorus, Alice B. Theatre, Pride Festival Committee, Seattle Municipal Elections Committee for Gays & Lesbians (SEAMEC), and Tacky Tourist Clubs of America. The Seattle Chapter also hosted other popular events, such as "The Prom You Never Went To," billed as a "madcap costume party for all lifestyles."

This leaflet was mailed direct to Tacky Tourist Club members and friends in order to advertise the group's Halloween party. Costume judging was to take place in several categories, including Best Individual, Best Group, and Best Aquatic costumes.
