This photo shows jazz pianist and bandleader Count Basie (1904–1984) with Jimmy Rushing during a performance of the Count Basie Orchestra at the Civic Auditorium in Seattle. Nicknamed "Mr. Five By Five," the heavyset Rushing was best know for being a vocalist with the Count Basie Orchestra from 1935-1948.
