Order an Image
The San Francisco Saints was a Chinese-American amateur basketball team founded by Father Donald F. Forrester, pastor and director of St. Mary's Chinese Catholic Center/Holy Family Parish in San Francisco's Chinatown. As a member of the Amateur Athletic Union, the team competed against teams throughout California and the United States.

This team photo was likely taken during the second annual "Oriental American Basketball Tournament," which was held at the Seattle University gym in December 1948.
