Although Seattle photographer Al Smith is best known for his photos of the Central Area music scene and everyday life in the Black community, he also photographed various scenes he happened upon while out with his camera. In this instance, he captured a series of photos of two police officers restraining a man and escorting him into a police van. This is the last photo of the series, showing the officers bringing the man to the door of a Seattle Police Patrol van.
