In addition to his jazz club images, Seattle-born photographer Al Smith took many photos of family, friends and other local people in their everyday lives. This photo shows Isabelle "Izzy" (Donaldson) Smith and Al "Butch" Smith, Jr., the wife and son of the photographer, riding together on a sled down a snowy street near their home on 23rd Avenue in Seattle's Central Area.
