Jimmie Lunceford (1902-1947) was a swing era alto saxophonist and bandleader. Here the Jimmie Lunceford band performs at the Trianon Ballroom in Seattle. According to newspapers of the time, the Lunceford's band performed at the Trianon in November 1937, March 1940, and May 1943. However, the date of the performance shown in this photo is not known.
