The International Sweethearts of Rhythm, the country's only integrated all-women band, came to Seattle in September 1944. They had two dates at thed Civic Auditorium and filled in the time between them at the Black and Tan. Here, at the Black and Tan, an unidentified woman in tropical dress, leads the group.
