Order an ImageHenry Wallace shares the head table with a union officer at a dinner meeting of the Marine Cooks and Stewards Union of the Pacific at Washington Hall. A sign reading Stop the Un-American Committee refers to the House Un-American Activities Committee. Wallace was Vice President of the United States under Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1941-1945. This picture was probably taken in 1948, when he attemped a third party run for President.
