Order an Image
The Women's March was an international protest for women's rights, held on January 21, 2017, the day after the inauguration of Donald Trump. The marches protested the threat to women's rights represented by Trump's policies and inflammatory rhetoric. Over 470,000 people attended the main protest in Washington DC, as many as 5 million nationwide, and an estimated 7 million people worldwide.

The Women's March on Seattle (also spelled Womxn's March on Seattle) drew an estimated 150,000 people, walking a 3-mile route from Judkins Park in the Central Area to Seattle Center. This photo shows the crowd in Seattle marching west on Jackson Street near the beginning on the march. A lot of people carry signs, and many participants wear pink clothing and homemade "pussyhats" as a sign of solidarity.
