The Crocodile Cafe opened in 1991 at 2200 2nd Avenue at Blanchard Street in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. The popular music venue featured many well-known acts, such as Nirvana, MudHoney, Pearl Jam, and Death Cab for Cutie. The Crocodile Cafe closed in December 2007, but was reopened under new ownership as The Crocodile in March 2009. In 2021, the Crocodile moved a new, larger location a few blocks away at 2505 1st Avenue and Wall Street, where it continues to operate as of 2024.
