Many of Seattle’s grunge bands played the Off Ramp Café in the 1990s. Located at 109 Eastlake Avenue East, in the shadow of Interstate 5, the club was frequented by Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney and others. Pearl Jam, under the name Mookie Blaylock, played its first official show here on October 22, 1990. The club venue still exists in 2024 as El Corazon.
