Fisher's Yellow Corn Meal Recipes, circa 1920
Contact MOHAI to OrderFisher Flouring Mills opened in 1911, founded by father and son O.W. (Oliver Williams) Fisher and O.D. (Oliver David) Fisher. The Fisher family mill was one of the first businesses to operate on Harbor Island. The Fishers founded radio station KOMO in 1926, in part to advertise their flour. One of the company's most famous products was Fisher Scones, introduced at the Panama Pacific Exposition in San Francisco in 1915, and still sold at fairs throughout the Pacific Northwest.
