Teenager Timothy Eagan made good use of his press pass, given to him by a family friend, when he pushed up to the stage's edge to shoot three rolls of film of the Beatles' 1964 concert at the Seattle Center Coliseum. Eagan shot dozens of photographs of the charismatic band, including a number of individual portraits of each musician, such as this shot of drummer Ringo Starr. In this photo, Ringo sits behind his signature Ludwig drum set, with George Harrison and John Lennon partially visible to the right. After Ringo was seen playing this Black Oyster Pearl Ludwig drum kit on the Ed Sullivan show in February 1964, the Ludwig Drum Company received so many orders for the kit that its Chicago factory had to work around the clock to keep up with demand. Sales at Ludwig more than doubled within two years; Bill Ludwig joked that Ed Sullivan was the "show that launched a thousand purchase orders."
