Northwest rock 'n' roll band Jr. Cadillac was formed in 1970 by musicians Jim Manolides, Buck Ormsby, George Rudiger, Bob Hosko, and Ned Neltner. Throughout the 1970s, the band opened for many big shows that came through the Northwest: The Kinks, The Beach Boys, ELO, Yes, and Jethro Tull. The band backed Chuck Berry twelve times on his tours through the region. Jr. Cadillac also played regularly at the Rainbow Tavern in the University District until its closure in 1986. Over the years, many musicians have joined and left Jr. Cadillac, which, as of 2018, continues to play frequently and "spread the Jr. Cadillac gospel of 'Good Time, Good Music Rock 'n' Roll' far and wide."
