Sportsmen's Show group at Montlake Bridge dedication, Seattle, June 1925
Order an ImageSeattle’s Montlake Bridge was dedicated on June 27, 1925. Seizing the opportunity to appeal to the gathered crowds, a group of fishing enthusiasts posed on the new bridge to publicize the upcoming Sportsmen’s Show. The third annual show, to be held at Green Lake, featured exhibits and entertainment centering around outdoor activities. Using a giant creel, oversized rods and nets, and a large trout (on wheels) the group is also promoting trout fishing in Green Lake.
