The Sparkle Corps was hired to keep Union Oil Company's stations, especially the restrooms, clean and safe. They were employed at 4,000 stations across the country in preparation for visitors driving to the Seattle World's Fair.

This photo shows the Sparkle Corps, including Seattle fashion model Donna Rydberg, second from left, at a Union 76 station near the Space Needle.

This photograph was used in a Union Oil Company advertisement in Time Magazine, June 22, 1962.
