Paul Wadsworth Harries (1877-1960) was born in Minnesota and moved to Seattle around 1909. He married Sara Powell Bittle (1887-1982) in 1910, and by the following year he was working as the advertising manager for Pacific Poultryman, a monthly magazine about farming and livestock that began in 1895 as Northwest Poultry Journal. Mr. Harries became the editor and publisher of the journal in 1915, a position he maintained until about 1946, when he and Sarah moved their family to California.
Pictured here is what appears to be a promotional item for the magazine, a series of wall charts including a county map of Washington State and diagrams of skeletal and muscular systems of cows, pigs, goats, horses, and chickens. The front page also includes a portrait of each of Washington's territorial and state governors, through 1915.
