Bumbershoot poster, Seattle, September 4-7, 1992
Order an ImageBegun as "Festival '71" in 1971, Seattle's Bumbershoot has become one of North America's largest urban arts festivals, held annually over Labor Day weekend at the Seattle Center.
This poster features artwork by Joan Ross Blaedel (b. 1942), "Carnival IV," that was commissioned for Bumbershoot through the City of Seattle's 1% for Art Program. The poster was designed by Kris Ekstrand Molesworth.
