Bumbershoot poster, Seattle, August 31 - September 3, 1990

Begun as "Festival '71" in 1971, Seattle's Bumbershoot has become one of North America's largest urban arts festivals, held annually over Labor Day weekend at the Seattle Center.

The poster pictured here is by Joellyn Rock and Kate Thompson and was commissioned for Bumbershoot through the City of Seattle's 1% for Art Program.
