Bumbershoot poster, Seattle, August 29 - September 1, 1980

Begun as "Festival '71" in 1971, Seattle's Bumbershoot has become one of North America's largest urban arts festivals, held annually over Labor Day weekend at the Seattle Center.

This poster features an image of an original serigraph by Larry Knodel, also known as R. E. Beans (b. 1947), that was commissioned for Bumbershoot through the City of Seattle's 1% for Art Program.
