Festival '71 poster, Seattle, August 13-15, 1971

Begun as "Festival '71" in 1971, Seattle's Bumbershoot has become one of North America's largest urban arts festivals, held annually over Labor Day weekend at the Seattle Center.

This poster from the inaugural festival features a large photograph of a thumbs up, with the text "fun for everyone" across the thumb. The poster lists "Free Family Entertainment" hosted by the City of Seattle.
