"My Soldier - Buy United States Government Bonds - Third Liberty Loan" poster, 1918

This poster was created by artist H.H. Green in 1918 to encourage Americans to buy war bonds for the Third Liberty Loan. It features a US flag design with biplanes in the upper corners and an illustration in the center showing a mother and child praying for the safety of a soldier in their family, whose portrait is behind them. Below the illustration is the text of a common Christian children's' bedtime prayer adapted for the context of World War I.
