Order an Image
This 1986 newsletter of the Lesbian and Gay Democrats of Seattle includes an announcement of their January 13 meeting at the Off Ramp Cafe, featuring newly-elected King County Councilman Ron Sims discussing the new King County Fair Employment Ordinance. The newsletter also includes notes of thanks to various individuals, from organization President Don Moreland, for their support of lesbian and gay rights.

This item is one of many gathered by the Seattle-born author, artist, and chronicler of local drag culture, Donald Charles "Don" Paulson (1933-2012), in a collection he "dedicated to everyone who ever participated in a protest March, attended a Vigil, campaigned for Peace, Justice, Liberation, Human or Animal Rights, saved the Planet, welcomed the New Age, fought against Racism, Sexism, Ageism, Homophobia, and Abuse. And to anyone whose voice wanted to be heard in a world too often refusing to listen."
