This flier advertises a march organized by the Reparations 2000 Coalition and the African American Heritage Museum and Cultural Center (AAHM&CC), to take place on the first evening of the WTO rallies. The march was set to end at the vacant Colman School, where an encampment for anti-WTO activists would be established. Omari Tahir-Garrett and other activists first occupied this vacant school building from 1985 to 1993, with the intention of using the site for their museum and community center. By 1999, talks of acquiring the Colman School and funding from the city were stalled due to division among the board members of the AAHM&CC. Tahir-Garrett, leader of one of the groups of the divided AAHM&CC board, planned to re-occupy Colman School during this WTO march, but was unsuccessful.
