Q-Safety Patrol brochure, 1997

Order an Image
This brochure describes the activities of Q-Safety Patrol or Q-SP, which was founded in 1990 to respond to violent hate crimes against queer people in Seattle. Q-SP volunteers patrolled streets to offer escort and reassurance to anyone in need, and physically respond to violence if necessary. The brochure also advertises Q-SP's other services - self-defense classes, distribution of food and blankets to people experiencing homelessness, and speaking in schools about community involvement and alternatives to violence. It also requests funding and other assistance for Q-SP and includes tips for keeping safe on the streets.
