Flier for Asian Lesbian & Bisexual Alliance (ALBA) and Queer & Asian (Q&A), 1996
Contact MOHAI to OrderThis flier was created by two queer Asian groups, the Asian Lesbian & Bisexual Alliance (A.L.B.A.) and Queer and Asian (Q&A). Created in 1996, the flier describes the mission of each organization on behalf of queer Asian men and women. ALBA was a new organization that used “outreach, increased visibility, advocacy, political action, leadership development, networking, education, and many excellent meals” to build community among the Asian lesbian and bisexual population in Seattle. Q&A supported local queer Asian and Pacific Islander men “in order to preserve and further queer API culture.” The flier was probably made for distribution at the 1996 Pride Parade. The front of the flier features a drawing of Godzilla, encircled by the words “Asian Domination League.”
